Every KO'A board supports the reefs that keep our oceans alive

KO'A Softboards is more than a surf brand — it is a commitment to ocean conservation. With every board sold, a portion of proceeds goes directly toward coral reef restoration, helping rebuild the ecosystems that make surfing possible. Coral reefs protect over 150,000 miles of coastline worldwide, support roughly 25% of all marine species, and shape the wave breaks that surfers depend on.

Through partnerships with reef restoration organizations, KO'A funds three core initiatives: coral fragment planting to regrow damaged reef systems, habitat rebuilding to restore biodiversity in degraded marine zones, and ocean education programs that teach the next generation of surfers to be stewards of the sea. The name KO'A itself means "coral" in Hawaiian — a reminder that every wave we ride exists because healthy reefs shaped the ocean floor beneath it.
